Obfuscation Studies
Obfuscation Studies pushes the limits of the idea of ‘objectifying’ a person. It explores the possibilities of modifying and obfuscating the human body. Wrapping the subject inside a ‘second skin’ keeps their identity ambiguous in terms of ‘human’ versus ‘object’, yet simultaneously familiar and alienating. This series seeks to find the threshold beyond which the shape and form of the body is no longer recognised, while developing a minimal type of obfuscation necessary for bringing out new aesthetics from human shapes and postures.
